Join us as we embark on a white-knuckle voyage into the uncharted waters of our festival of new and innovative drama and storytelling driven by music and the voice. You will be enraptured and maybe infuriated by sailors and sirens alike.
DO NOT COME if you love opera for its chandeliers and tiaras. This is gritty, hardcore, artist-at-work creativity where sparks will fly and hundreds of performers, directors, composers, librettists, designers, lighting designers, singers, instrumentalists, artists and inspired individuals come together to take genuine risks hand in hand with discriminating, daring and forward-looking audiences.
Join Opera North for dinner with their London première of The Lost Chord, grab a baby so you can be enchanted by BabyO, Scottish Opera’s show for 6-18 month olds. Then there’s a love sick Krazy Kat, Chance encounters on the streets, flying radio DJ’s and fairy tales causing a Lullabaloo.
During the festival, you can watch weekly video reviews by clicking on the Videos tab where you will find weekly news digests. We also welcome and value feedback about your Festival experience. Especially for works in development, audience feedback can be invaluable. It helps the creators to find out what works well or less well, and what the overall impression is. There are feedback forms available at all performances, and you can also leave feedback on the website by clicking the Feedback tab.
