About the festival
The world’s largest festival of new opera
24 July–10 August 2014
Central Saint Martins (24 July-3 August), Kings Place (7-10 August)
and the streets and public spaces of King’s Cross
Tête à Tête’s 8th annual Festival transformed as it moved to King’s Cross. Dozens of performances of world and London premieres pushed the frontiers of opera and filled the area with sound, spectacle and an explosion of creativity over three long weekends. For the first two, we performed at the Platform Theatre of the breathtaking Granary Building, home of Central Saint Martins, bringing a panopoly of new skills to the party.
Then we moved to the stunning Kings Place, at the heart of the classical music scene. Throughout, we also performed in the public spaces of King’s Cross, joining with the many partners changing the face of the neighbourhood.
