Static Psyche Music and Theatre

Music and Design: Daniel Saleeb, Words: Charlotte Perkins Gilman

Featuring: Miranda Heldt

She walketh veiled and sleeping… is inspired by the life and a selection of the work of Charlotte Perkins (Stetson) Gilman (1860-1935), most well known for her Gothic short story The Yellow Wallpaper (1892). The story is a semi-autobiographical account of insanityand of female oppression.

This short work of music theatre sees up and coming soprano, Miranda Heldt, take on her alter-ego in the paper.
