The reviews are in for our recent collaboration with the Royal College of Music, and they’re very enthusiastic indeed!
First in is OperaToday, celebrating each work in turn and concluding:
“This particular evening I think proved two things. The Royal College of Music is a global cauldron of creativity that has few, if any, equals in the world today. And, as these six operas showed the future of opera is about both the great music schools that thrive to allow young composers to write the works, and companies like Tête à Tête which have the imagination and willingness to empower these composers with opera’s future.”
And Gramophone was similarly delighted, saying:
“Bill Bankes-Jones’ crystal-clear direction of these six operas mean each opera’s identity was beautifully maintained; talking of “crystal clear,” the orchestra maintained phenomenal concentration under Rosewell’s impeccable direction… here are six fine talents. In a bleak time… the future of opera is bright.”
