In memory of David Leeming

We are very sorry indeed to announce the death of our Chair, David Leeming on New Year’s Day 2023 after a short illness.

David had been our Chair for a remarkably long time, since April 2004, and seen us through all kinds of vicissitudes and highs and lows with unflinching persistence, patience, skill, tolerance and good cheer.

David brought with him a wealth of experience and business acumen, laying claim (with a glint in his eye) to the remarkable achievement of being the founding Chair of the Association of British Fume Cupboard Manufacturers. He headed up, among other things, Parker Pens, and most recently The Master Herbalist.

He will be fondly remembered by a great many who’ve enjoyed his company on many occasions at Tête à Tête and beyond. He will be very much missed by the board and everyone at Tête à Tête.

In a very generous gesture, his family have encouraged donations to Tête à Tête in his memory, and we would like to join them by dedicating our fundraising campaign this year to David, and the wisdom, joy and fun he brought to our operations. Should we hit our targets, we would like to stage a performance in our London Festival in September in celebration both of Tête à Tête’s 25 years and also David’s 18 indomitable years championing our work.
