An excerpt from the opera Andrias Scheuchzeri, created by porte renaud and inspired by Karel Čapek’s novel War with the Newts, delves into themes of (de)colonialism, ecology, and democracy through the story of giant salamanders used to expand continents. This groundbreaking performance explores dramatic shifts between the collective unconscious, societal changes, and individual neuroses. Don’t miss this exciting glimpse into a powerful science-fiction narrative, promising a visually and musically stunning, thought-provoking experience.
