“I tell my secret? No indeed, not I;”

Christina Rossetti – archetypal spinster, deeply religious -also wrote some of the most subversive, erotic, teasing poems of that or any era. And she had a secret.

Storm’s Eye: A Theatrical Songbook explores how the attitudes and constraints of Victorian society towards men and women influenced Christina’s life and work.
