Tête à Tête launch new podcast opera ‘Road Memoir’

Tête à Tête is delighted to announce the launch of a brand new podcast opera ‘Road Memoir’ in partnership with Olivier Award-winning composer Martin Ward.

 

Road Memoir is a dramatic, moving and innovative twelve-episode podcast opera, combining solo soprano with spoken text, music and sound design to tell the fictional story of an individual’s journey from normal civilian to displaced refugee.

 

The podcast is receiving its world premiere online as part of Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival’s 10th anniversary festival.

MARTIN WARD

 

Martin Ward is an award-winning composer of music for opera, dance, theatre and the screen. He wrote the music for the 2014 Olivier Award winning Royal Opera House production of The Wind in the Willows and his opera They Came Back won the 2015 Flourish Opera Award.

 

He has written music for companies  including The Royal Opera House, The English National Ballet, theBBC, ITV, the Hackney Empire, Unicorn Theatre, Polka Theatre, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Belgrade Theatre, the Sofia National Opera and W11 Opera.

 

He is exclusively published by Faber Music and represented by Berlin Associates.
