Second Movement & Tête à Tête are excited to present Rough For Opera #15, which will take place at The Cockpit Theatre, London, SW8 8EH on Tuesday 7 March 2017.

Rough For Opera is a scratch night, founded with the aim of creating a platform for new work receiving a first test performance, as well as showings of work in development. As part of each Rough For Opera production, the participants receive financial support, which helps to cover performer travel, instrument hire and rehearsal space among other aspects of the production.

As well as funding, the commissioning teams receive audience feedback about their work at a crucially early stage in its development, which helps inform future showings of the work. The feedback is collected via both feedback forms and through Q&A sessions after each performance.

Since its launch in the autumn 2011, Rough For Opera has platformed more than 40 new operas and work in development. You can find out more information about all past events, participants and works programmed on the Second Movement website.
