I’m over the moon with the success of our week’s residency at Alphabetti with Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival.

We were so pleased to continue building on our programme of networking and opera-maker development with our Opera Escape Room, while also very proud to present two full shows and a programme of shorts all home grown in Newcastle alongside another from neighbouring Hull, all presented to decent and at times very distinguished audiences.

The whole week was living proof in the long-held belief that Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival offers a matrix to unlock communities of opera makers and an under-supplied public by stimulating audiences and artists locally in a way that could be rolled out right across the UK.
