Don’t miss this opportunity to hear a series of five brand new operas created by RCM composers and performed by RCM singers, in collaboration with Tête à Tête’s Bill Bankes-Jones, conductor Natalie Murray and designer Sarah Booth. Based on the themes of monstrosity and scientific idealism, and marking 200 years since Mary Shelley’s iconic novel Frankenstein, each opera packs a punch in just 15 minutes.

JOE KIELY – AMIRA

Watch as one inventor struggles to outsmart his own creation.

SOPHIE SPARKES/DEBORAH MCMAHON – OUR PERFECT CHILD

A couple get the opportunity to edit their own embryo, raising some very unsettling questions.

MAEVE MCCARTHY/GARY MATTHEWMAN – JOHN HENRY

When modernisation threatens the railway industry, a deadly battle of man versus machine ensues.

LENTE VERELST/LENA VERCAUTEREN – BEAR AND FRIENDS

A new invention allows Bear to eat his fill of cake, but leaves a very bitter aftertaste.

LARA POE/RAPHAEL RUIZ – THE FERMI PARADOX

Find out what happens when time travel goes horribly wrong.

Tickets: £8 and available from early April direct from the Royal College of Music
online or by phone 020 7591 4314

We are delighted to say the performance on Sunday 13th May will be streamed live for audiences worldwide.
