The Cockpit

Words: Vicky Nizri

Adaptation, translation, original concept: Cristina Pardo

Imagine being 19 years old and seeing the ocean for the first time. Boarding a ship that will take you to a foreign country. Starting a life amongst strangers who will become lifelong companions. Marrying, having children, losing a husband, and telling your grandchildren the story with a smile. Esther wanted to become a modern woman like Gabriela Mistral, and she did: she became the author of her story. Duo Raíses comes all the way from Mexico to bring Esther’s tale to the UK public for the first time.
