There will be a live performance of The District on the 22nd September as part of Rendezvous with Revenge.

“Rendezvous with Revenge” is a triple bill exploring subjects of revenge, betrayal and love with equal parts comedy and stylised drama. The three shows represent diverse musical styles, but have in common a musical language that embraces the nuance achieved with a chamber opera format.

Each show consists of just three singers and piano. Originally written as part of the Royal Academy of Music Opera Makers project, The District was created as part of an evening of electrifying music and theatre.

The District: In a dystopian world where all art is banned by a cruel dictator named Chapman, two rebels go on a revenge mission outside their district. In discovering unexpected items from the world pre-Chapman, they gain even more than they were looking for.
