There will be a live performance of Imposters on the 22nd September as part of Rendezvous with Revenge.

“Rendezvous with Revenge” is a triple bill exploring subjects of revenge, betrayal and love with equal parts comedy and stylised drama. The three shows represent diverse musical styles, but have in common a musical language that embraces the nuance achieved with a chamber opera format.

Each show consists of just three singers and piano. Originally written as part of the Royal Academy of Music Opera Makers project, Imposters was created as part of an evening of electrifying music and theatre.

Imposters: Elizabeth and Sonya, two stepsisters brought together by their newlywed parents, have been condemned to therapy by Elizabeth’s father to mend their fractured relationship due to differences in class. The two girls are sent to the Therapist, who turns out to be rather unconventional, and things soon take a darkly unexpected turn.
